FAQ

We know gut health can feel confusing - so we’ve answered the most common questions to help make your journey clearer and simpler.

How long should I stay on FLARE?

Stay on FLARE for at least 4 weeks. If bleeding has stopped, urgency has eased, and stools are becoming more formed, you can begin the REPAIR phase. If you're still experiencing active symptoms, it's safe and appropriate to stay on FLARE for up to 12 weeks. Never stop FLARE abruptly. Always transition to REPAIR to support deeper healing.

How long should I stay on REPAIR?

Just because your symptoms have gone, doesn’t mean your gut is fully healed. REPAIR works behind the scenes to restore your microbiome, rebuild your gut lining, and reduce your risk of relapse. Staying on REPAIR for the full 12 weeks gives your gut time to stabilise and recover properly. Even if you're feeling great after a few weeks, it’s best to complete the full course unless advised otherwise.

How long should I stay on CARE?

CARE is your long-term maintenance phase. It supports a balanced microbiome, reduces daily inflammation, and keeps your gut barrier strong. You can stay on CARE indefinitely. It’s your everyday defence against future flares and a way to stay in remission naturally.

What if my symptoms return while I’m on REPAIR or CARE?

If urgency, bleeding, or loose stools return, it may be a sign of renewed inflammation or a new flare. In that case, step back into the FLARE phase right away. Once your symptoms settle again, you can move back through REPAIR before returning to CARE. The protocol is flexible. It’s designed to meet you where you are.

How soon can I go back to FLARE if I need to?

You can return to FLARE at any time if symptoms come back. A short break on REPAIR or CARE gives your system, especially your liver, the rest it needs. This makes it safe to reintroduce FLARE, even if it's just been a few weeks since your last round. If you find yourself needing FLARE often, it’s worth looking at your diet, stress levels, or other possible triggers.

Is it safe to repeat FLARE more than once?

Yes. As long as you’re taking breaks between rounds and not staying on it continuously, it’s safe to repeat FLARE if needed. The key ingredient, Qing Dai, has been shown to be effective and well tolerated in short-term use. Your REPAIR phase gives your body, and especially your liver, a chance to rest and recover before another round.
